August Trip to Southern Oregon

Our August trip to Southern Oregon wine country was wonderful! We visited many lovely wineries in the Applegate Valley and the Rogue River area. We attended Oregon's WOW (World of Wines) Festival sponsored by the Rogue Valley Winegrowers Association and the Southern Oregon Winery Association. We tasted many fine award winning wines paired with fantastic foods. The event was held at the beautiful Del Rio Vineyards.

September 23-27: Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta

We attended the famous Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta in Santa Fe, New Mexico where one of our custom carved barrel heads was donated to the charity auction. It was purchased by a board member who then put it on display at the entrance to the grand tasting. One hundred wineries from all across the country were pouring and seventy-five restaurants prepared gourmet meals paired with the delicious wines. Loads of wine maker's dinners and special events took place that week. We attended the Alma Rosa Dinner hosted by famed local winemaker Richard Sanford !

Sabasiani Winery Barrel Carvings

On the way back from Oregon we visited several wineries in the Sonoma and Napa Valleys, including the very impressive Sebastiani Winery. Sebastiani (now owned by the Foley Wine Group headquartered here in our Santa Barbara area wine country) is the home of probably the largest collection of hand carved barrels (and other wine related "woodart") in the world - certainly the U.S. Here's one small sample - its called the winemakers calendar.

Wedding Tasting Table

Here at eWoodart.com, we enjoy creating special request carvings. This wedding tasting table was commissioned for a local couples' wedding. They said their vows at the table and the couple now enjoys it in their private tasting room

October 11: Bridlewood Estate Winery - Barrel Tasting

We set up our booth, introduced our new Wine Barrel Clock product, and sold our products and took custom orders at this fun filled barrel tasting party which was attended by over 300 wine club members.
