Decorative hand carvings of wine barrels and casks began as a German folk art and spread across the old world hundreds of years ago. Today, our wine barrel carvings convey the ultimate image of old world style, craftsmanship and prestige, while leveraging the internet and computer aided design and manufacturing technology in order to put as much of the creative process in the hands of the customer as they want, while keeping the costs down.

eWoodArt.com is owned and managed by Tom and Marie Freeman of Gold Hill, Oregon. Tom is "retired" from a 30+ year career as a software engineer, manager and executive, while Marie's background is in special education.   We share a love of fine wine and fine wood art. Integrating that with Tom's lifelong love of woodworking, software, internet and CAD/CAM technologies, we have found this niche of "wine inspired wood art" a great combination of the old and new, of artisanship and technology.

We recently relocated our home and business from the California central coast to the  heart of the Southern Oregon wine country.  Our home, office, shop and growing managerie of animals are all on a beautiful compound on the banks of the Rogue River just outside the little town of Gold Hill - which is about 10 miles up the I5 from Medford.  We love making beautiful, one-of-a-kind wood art carvings of high quality and craftsmanship... and we savor the compliments and enjoyment of family, friends, customers and visitors when they delight in our work.
